Breaking Live: Police Storm AfriCog Offices, Gladwel Otieno, Maina Kiai Face Arrest

August 16, 2017 Leave a Comment

NTV is reporting that Police and KRA officials have stormed the civil society organisation AfriCog offices.

The organisation was deregistered in what was termed as a crackdown on the civil society organisations that are critical to Uhuru regime.

Africog director Maina Kiai said the organisation together with other like minded organisations like KHRC was at the verge of petitioning the supreme court to nullify the just concluded presidential election results which they termed shambolic.

It is speculated that the crackdown on civil society organisations is meant to intimidate them not to question or petition against Uhuru’s ‘win’ in the just concluded general election.
