UDF MP Benjamin Washiali is under investigations after yesterday’s protestors rally turned chaotic with accusations that those who were paid hijacked the peaceful demo to save the struggling sugar-cane factory and turned it into an anti-kidero rally.
Washiali is sadi to have met Nairobi senator Mike Sonko who is believed to be the source of the scandalous money early in the week.
Washiali, who is a UDF MP, was engaged in a scuffle with a section of demonstrators who turned against the rally, accusing the MP for hijacking the noble event and turning it into a political supremacist battle pitting ODM and UDF.
ODM national youth leader and an MCA in Kakamega county were arrested during the scuffle. Â The MP is reported to have withdrawn money running into millions which law enforcement believe was used to pay the demonstrators.
