Uhuru’s Jubilee MPs FAIL to IMPEACH Ababu Namwamba
Budalangi MP Ababu Namwamba has survived an impeachment attempt by Jubilee MPs in the Powerful Parliamentary Public Accounts Committee.
The MPs met this morning to determine whether Mr Namwamba was to remain as chair or whether he will be removed and ODM asked to name a replacement.
In the meeting Hon Ababu is said to have laid bare all the stinking information that left some members ASHAMED, and when the matter was put to vote he floored the haters with 13 votes against 9.
It later emerged that Raila’s last minute call to ODM committee members saved Ababu position at PAC. Ababu remains the chairman of PAC and ODM Secretary General and Odinga trusted ally.
Here is how Hon Junet Mohammed captured the proceedings on his Facebook Page;
“Ababu has today spelled the beans. The hunters became the hunted. A great man with a great character. The onus is now with the EACC if at all they still exist in this country”.
The seat can only be held by an Opposition legislator. The committee only requires a simple majority to vote out a chairman.
The MPs signed a letter supporting a Motion of no confidence and had indicated they intended to oust Mr Namwamba on the ground of “serious bribery allegations touching on the integrity of the chairman and conduct of members of the committeeâ€.
