Judiciary’s Chief Registrar Gladys Shollei has been sacked.
In a media briefing, the Judicial Service Commission just announced Shollei’s sacking, citing misappropriation of funds, insubordination, incompetence and engaging in sideshows.
There was a deadlock earlier on as Shollei declined to respond to allegations against her by the JSC citing impartiality.
Ms Shollei is rumoured to have played “crucial” role at the KICC tallying centre for recount of votes in 30 constituencies ordered by the Supreme Court in the controversial presidential petition.
So far there have been mixed reactions following her sacking, here are some as posted on Facebook.
George Nyongesa in Nairobi Says;
“Gladys Boss Shollei fired! Judicial Service Commission has dismissed or terminated services, skills and usefulness of Ms. Boss to Judiciary with immediate effect. What shall we say? She conspired to put democracy on trial. Danced and wined with impunity, corruption and greed. Evil sometimes eats its kids!”
