Thirty-two members of the county assembly vote to impeach Kericho governor Prof Paul Chepkwony.
According to Jackal News, Chepkwony was known to have an affair with his deputy Susan Kikwai. Read the story below:
The love triangle of the Kericho governor, Professor Paul Chepkwony and his female deputy, Susan Kikwai, is at the brink of soiling his already dirty leadership linen. Good Lord, a county of fuckers.
In early 40s, Chepkwony is a former professor of chemistry at Moi University and was a witness for Joshua Sang at the pretrial hearing at the International Criminal Court (ICC), which appears to have influenced the Kericho County residents to elect him as their first governor despite his allegedly wrong choice of deputy.
Chepkwony is now hidden in the splaying skirt Kikwai whom he fervently defended in his campaigns. He is no longer available for either comment or consultation. Whoever wants to see him has to seek clearance from his deputy who now doubles up as his mistress or rather daily date as it may, or so goes the sordid sex tale in the great evergreen county.
The hippy and bubbly former civil servant always appears in public clad in reddish attire and a matching red lipstick, a very sexy shade indeed.
During the campaigns, his critics had tried to block his way to the gubernatorial seat saying that Kikwai was not a resident of Kipkelion as had been claimed by the supporters of Chepkwony. Some had even dug deeper to claim that Kikwai was his girlfriend.
Indeed one of his close confidants who campaigned for him tooth and nail but has since fallen on the way side because the professor never rewarded him after the hard work said the duo slept between the same sheets on several occasions during the campaign trail.
One witness, indeed, hawk-eyed witness, Kibet said the couple who now head the affairs of the Kericho County spent most of their nights in the one bedroomed wooden house at Kerongo Village whenever the professors’ wife and children were away in Eldoret town.
Kikwai, in her early 50s, often appears in public functions seated or standing beside the governor. They are both seen smiling and whispering to each other romantically before mammoth crowds and in the full glare of national television cameras.

According to Kiptoo, another witness, Kikwai is so hot and randy that she sometimes demand for quickie sex within the office hours prompting the governor who has no guts to say no to rush with her to his master bedroom at his official residence at the multinational tea companies.
This has eaten into the man hours that the governor would have offered constructive services to the Kericho residence.
They said Kikwai, a former Director of the Kenya Investment Authority who was smoked out of office in 2011 because of procurement of ICT equipment which was dotted with misappropriation.
Hitherto it has not been revealed how she cleared her name after the serious allegations and ouster from office.
In the deliberate absence of the county procurement officer, Kikwai now does all the public procurement activities with all impunity and nepotism as the only means of awarding tenders.
Kikwai is the daughter of the one time Member of Parliament for Kipkelion, William Kikwai, who has now retired to his ancestral home in Ainamoi Constituency where governor Chepkwony hails from.
Critics of the duo say that they are surrounded by their relatives who often dictate whoever is to be employed in the county public service.
What is so much painful to the Kericho residence is the recent appointment of Nelius Njeri to head the County Media Centre. She is heading a group of six personnel all of whom are not from Kericho County.
Njeri is a longtime girlfriend of governor Chepkwony. Her affair with the governor has yielded fruits which include a baby and her recent appointment in Kericho despite lack of academic qualification for the job.
Chepkwony has recently rewarded his cousin to become his aide in a move that saw three secretaries, receptionists and other staff related to the deputy governor benefit from the same.
As this happens, the residents of Kericho County are wondering why the leaders have allowed the governor and his deputy to run the affairs of the county like a family affair.
But as the euphoria of that election is fast fading away, the residents of the green County are becoming impatient with his administration. He had promised to improve the economy of the region but most of his supporters are poorer than they were when they voted him in.
His strategy to clean the town has made most young men and women in the informal sector to forfeit their business stands. They can no longer sell their tomatoes and old clothes as they did before. They indeed miss a meal a day in a bid to make ends meet.
Sources privy to Chepkwony have confirmed that he was so eager to join politics as a safe fallback position because his sex for marks scandals were soon melting at the University.
Kiplang’at is an alumnus of Moi University. He reveals that when Chepkwony failed to capture the Ainamoi Consituency seat in 2007 and subsequently in the by-election in 2008 he changed his strategy which worked for him in the 2013 polls.
“He intentionally gave good marks to those students from his County. He lavished them with very good marks like bad beer in a bid to build a good name for himself which worked for him in the past general elections,†exposed Kiplangat.
The governor for Kericho County is now bitterly blamed by his constituents for lazing behind a smokescreen personified by his deputy. He has not given them successful appointments for no good reason. The governor is holed up in the same office with his female deputy separated by a single door. No one gets to the governor’s office without being vetted by his deputy.
Kipkurgat aka Chinese has expressed his disappointment in the governor’s Facebook page.
He said thrice has he been turned away from accessing the governor’s office by Kikwai who is the deputy governor. In frustration, Chinese chose to publish his smart business concept on the Facebook page for the governor to access. But surprisingly Chepkwony has not commented anything three months on.
Chinese is among the many young men and women who have expressed their distress over the shoddy work of the governor.
If this trend will continue then Kericho County which has the potential to emerge the best among the counties is at the brink of becoming the worst performing county ever in the history of Kenyan devolution.
