Football Kenya Federation President Sam Nyamweya has been arrested by CID officers at his Karen home here in Nairobi.

He is currently being held at the Flying Squad offices near Integrity Centre.

This comes a day after a public outcry after the national football team Harambee Stars were stranded at Wilson Airport for hours before they left at night to Cape Verde.

His arrest also comes hours before the Sports Dispute Tribunal gives a verdict on a vase pitying marketing firm against Nyamweya over lack of payment.
