Why Boniface Mwangi is the next MP for Starehe

Why Boniface Mwangi is the next MP for Starehe

August 1, 2017 Leave a Comment

latest opinion polls show Boniface Mwangi enjoying a comfortable lead over Jubilee’s Charles Njaguar aka Jaguar and Steve Mbogo of Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).

Unlike Boniface Mwangi, Jaguar and Mbogo have never fought for anything. They have never protected any public good other than their own stomach infrastructures. Bonny has fought for a lot and in the process, he has been harmed and detained in police cells.

One of the reasons why Bonny is expected to win Starehe is the dirtied past of his main competitors. Steve Mbogo has a chain of pending cases in court. From Drug peddling, tax evasion, money laundering to defilement/rape, this is a man who inspires no confidence among the people he seeks to lead.

For Jaguar, he has a blemished past. His Range Rover ran over two innocent humans, killing them instantly.

To add insult to injury, the musician denied the allegations and the case went to court where its outcome is unclear.

It is yet to be seen whether the family of the victims will get justice or otherwise. Jaguar is a ‘State-sponsored’ candidate. He is a project of Mike Sonko.

The agenda he champions is that of Mike Sonko. If indeed he wanted to show leadership, he would have ensured the two families whose loved ones were killed by his Range Rover get justice. As of now, the word justice is alien to them.

For Boniface, he is a man of admirable character. His past is untainted. He has fought for the common Mwananchi. He has confronted regimes through various tactics including the use of pigs to ensure the message is well delivered. He has fearlessly confronted the police and passed the message in a courageous way.

This is the man that the people of Starehe want. This is the man who will redeem the people of Starehe and restore their dignity and respect.
