The shameless ongoing drama involving Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko and women Rep Rachael Shebesh has taken a new twist with the revelations that Blogger Roy Kohadha Ogolla, a known social media writer and film-maker attempted to exhort money from the Nairobi senator to ‘clear’ the Senator’s name from the messy allegations of making out with Shebesh.
Kohadha is said to have exhorted the money to make the sexually explicit photos disappear. According to documents seen by this writer, Kohadha tells Sonnko that the photos in the public domain will kill his political career and that the Nairobi senator should part with some money to oil the blogger’s palms for a serious ‘fire-fighting’ (blogger’s term meaning doing positive PR for clients by taking on ‘enemies’ -real or imagined – seen to be soiling the image or reputation of their clients).
Ogolla had demanded to meet to the Senator in person, probably to get more from the generous city man, knoen for overflowing ‘kindness’ for those in need!
On our investigations from Sonko’s handlers; we got a cache of sms the blogger allegedly sent to the senator, much to the amusement of Sonko’s aides. One reads:
Tulia mhesh. Ulimess, kubali na useme ukweli ongea na okaka akushow vile tunaeza maliza hii maneno. I don’t fight losing battles mostly online. Nitafute tuongee kama maboy…
Kohadha is also said to have sent another message to Shebesh, probably to get some cash too, that he had cleared Sonko; which begs the question, was the blogger double-dealing? On tenth of September, late evening, he sent Shebesh this short text:
“I’ve finished Mike officially”
The alleged blogger has even gone further to spread his extortion antics on air when he claimed in an interview in one of the radio stations that he is the one who leaked the photos of Sonko and Shebesh ‘bonking’ at a 5 star hotel.
“Kwa hivyo naconfirm saa hii on air, of the picture with Mike Sonko holding the phone on the face with Shebesh I am the one who posted it.â€
Sonko then personally set to clear the record of one of what he terms as the most ‘hurtful, inconsiderate accusation’ on his person as a leader and family man.
“To say that I gave youth money to publish such photos is propaganda. I am a leader and I have a family, why would I want to publish photos to taint myself?†Sonko said during the radio interview done after the leaking of the explicit photos.
The Senator sensationally claimed that a twitter account by the name of Fix Soshe is behind his woes.
He said during the interview that the account @FixSoshe is an abbreviation of FIX SONKO and SHEBESH, adding that a close associate of the man or woman behind the account has already been arrested by the CID and is helping with investigations.
Apparently, @FixShoshe account only covers ‘exclusive’ and ‘explosive’ events surrounding SHEBONKO (Shebesh and Sonko) and currently still runs stories with damaging photos and videos of Sonko and Shebesh kissing and doing bad adult things! Sources also reveal the account holder demanded a whooping  Kshs 2million from Shebesh and Sonko to kill the photos scandal but Sonko instead offered Kshs 500,000 which they rejected and they went further to post more photos of the two lovers.
The Senator further revealed that he has previously assisted Ogolla and his associates to start a monthly magazine dubbed “Mtaani”. Aides of Sonko, many whom we have decided to not reveal their identities, said Sonko had given Ogolla Ksh 150,000 to start the magazine which was to highlight problems faced by the urban poor and slum dwellers but that Ogolla only made one edition and squandered the balance after which he went back to Sonko demanding more.
The Senator is said to have rejected the second plea, and its at this point when Ogolla swore to teach the Senator a career threatening lesson.
Ogolla, known for social misdemeanor, apparently got his revenge by widely circulating the images which Sonko say are ‘pure science imagination with no iota of truth’. Early in January, Ogolla had appeared before a Kibera judge charged with sending offensive text messages to one Peter Mutie, a former official with The Kenya Film Commission.
A senior legal advisor of the Senator is said to have urged the senator to seek legal redress against Ogolla but Sonko, on humanitarian grounds, fear the penalty which Ogolla, a jobless youth in Nairobi, may be slapped with will be too punitive that the young man may end up serving the remainder of his youthful years languishing in King’ong’o Maximum Prison.
Now the people’s senator does not want such a tragedy to befall the young man.
