Nairobi governor Dr. Evans Kidero leaves for work at 5.30am each morning, Dr. Susan Mboya has revealed.
Dr Mboya who is the Nairobi governor’s wife was responding to a photo mugshot of her husband with a torn sock at a function in Westlands, Nairobi.
Dr Susan Mboya apologised to Nairobians for her husband’s wardrobe gaffe claiming she was still asleep when Dr Kidero left the house.
“As his wife I am terribly embarrassed that I allowed this to happen and take full responsibility for this unfortunate oversight,” she told Nairobi News.
“As many Nairobians know, my husband leaves the house by 5.30 a.m. each day, sometimes before I see what he has worn,” she said.
However, a cheeky Nairobian has claimed governor Kidero’s early morning rise does not add value to the county, saying daktari is only avoiding traffic jam.
Actually, it cud be news…BUT specifically for diverting real issues. Its Kidero’s responsibility to wear smartly, not his wife’s, Its also his responsibility to do a whole lot of stuff to get out the whole mess that has become of Nairobi. What does his leaving at 5.30am got to do with anyone of us, if he cant do even the least of his duties? What if he was leaving that early to walk like so many Nairobians… Nonsense! He wakes early to beat the traffic jams, whereas there is so much he can do to prevent that. Kidero work, stop the torn socks sideshows… your employees have become employers with their workers being hawkers…and yet they keep spraying the cbd with tear gas in the guise of “chasing” the hawkers… Wake at 5.30 and pls give us a chance to see what you can do.
