Ahmednassir Abdullahi STIKES AGAIN, says CS Ole Lenku is just but a Public Property

November 15, 2014

Bad ass city lawyer Ahmednassir Abdullahi has promised to ‘bring down’ Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph ole Lenku when they come face to face in court.

Ahmednassir, whose dislike for Ole Lenku is in public domain promised to teach Ole Lenku a lesson or two when they meet in court and most likely the alleged ‘ex cook’ will go back to his career in the hospitality industry.

“I promise ole lenku will meet his Waterloo in court,” said Ahmednassir on Twitter.

Ahmed is confident there is no defamation case against Ole Lenku since the Cabinet secretary is a public appointment and therefore his persona is a ”public property”, Ahmednassir said

“A public servant is legally incapable of being defamed. He is a public property, would I have defamed ole Lenku if he remained in his former job?” posed the controversial lawyer.

A public servant is legally incapable of being defamed. He is a public property Would i have defamed ole lenku if he remained in his kitchen?

Ahmednassir’s broadside on the Interior Cabinet Secretary, a former beverages manager of Utalii hotel, the government’s hospitality school, comes just a week after the Law Society of Kenya said it will punish lawyers for professional misconduct if they post unpleasant comments on social media.

In a suit filed through his lawyer Donald Kipkorir, Lenku, said that between October 27 and November 11 the lawyer “falsely and maliciously printed and published defamatory words against him.” Lenku and Ahmednassir have been sparring on Twitter to an extent that Lenku had to ask the Director of Public Prosecutions to intervene and have the lawyer prosecuted.

“In consequence of the said publications, the plaintiff has been injured in his credit, character and reputation and brought into hatred, ridicule and contempt,” Mr Kipkorir states in the application filed late Friday.

The Cabinet Secretary, in the suit, added that the lawyer’s twitter posts portrayed him (Lenku) as a person who does not understand or respect law among other issues raised. Ahmednassir had linked Lenku to the invasion and grabbing of land in Narok and Kajiado counties.

Lenku is seeking for aggravated and exemplary damages.

Only last week Ahmednassir responded to Ole Lenku’s complaints, here is his response and how it was reported by media>>>
Lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi has unleashed a scathing reply to Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph ole Lenku, terming claims that he defamed him as ‘nonsense’.

Abdullahi in a letter addressed to CS Ole Lenku’s lawyer Donald Kipkorir says he stands by his tweets/comments he made against Lenku.

1. “The content of the said letter and more so the demand herein is utter nonsense.”

2.I stand by, justifiable every word of what I twitted (sic), he lashed out.

He went on to poke holes at the alleged defamation of Lenku’s character, saying Ole Lenku had no reputation to protect;

3. “What reputation or character are you talking about?”

4. “What hatred, ridicule or contempt are you talking about? To quote the now famous words of American owner of Liverpool Football Club, “what are you smoking over there?” you seem not to know that much about the minimalist and dwarf standing of your client among the Kenyan society,”
Abdullahi said.

Lenku had demanded an apology from Abdullahi for linking him to alleged land grabbing and wanted him arrested and charged for using social media criminally.

5. “As for the demand you make, you must be kidding,” Abdullahi replied.

Earlier on Tuesday morning Lenku gave Abdullahi 24 hours to retract the damaging claims on Twitter linking him to land grabbing.

Lenku lodged a criminal complaint against Abdullahi with recommendations that he be arrested and charged for misuse of social media.

The letter was copied to the Inspector General of Police and the Director of Public Prosecutions, Solicitor General Njee Muturi and CID Director.

Some of the tweets according to the demand letter say: “Where does one turn to when the Cabinet Secretary in charge of Security Ole Lenku storms and takes over your land ala Mugabe style.”

Abdullahi has accused Lenku of deploying GSU officers to disputed land with intentions of grabbing it.

“Yesterday and today ole Lenku with 500 Maasai warriors and 75 GSU officers took over by force Nguruman farm. He arrested all 76 workers.”

“Ole Lenku is doing this because the farm is part owned by Kenyans of European descent. He called the owner and told them he will deport him.”

He went on to say: “This is what happens when a doorman in a 2 star hotel becomes in (sic) Cabinet Secretary in charge of his nation’s security.”

Lenku in the letter argues that the posts display him as a person who do not understand or respect law among nine issues raised.

“In using the said words, on their natural meaning, you meant and was understood to mean that our client (Lenku) is a criminal, unqualified to be Cabinet Secretary and is misusing police for personal gain,” it reads.
