ODM “young turks” headed by Budalangi MP Ababu Namwamba and Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho is set to hold a mammoth political rally today in Kitengala town, Kajiado County.
The team currently attending a church service at St. Monica will head to the rally to set an elaborate agenda for ODM as the initial race to the 2017 elections begin in earnest.
Today’s rally was revealed in a press conference held at Serena Hotel yesterday where the team maintained the ‘mood in Kasarani’ had showed whom the delegates wanted to take over the party.
However, activities of the group has not gone down well with a section of ODM who now accuse it of trying to ‘take over’ the party.
To make today’s rally a success, the team late yesterday met the octogenerian Maa supremo William Ole Ntimama  in addition to being in close association with Major General Rtd Joseph Nkaiserry who have openly endorsed and vigorously campaigned for them during the whole period of the internal ODM polls.
Nkaiserry was among the 25 ODM MPs who accompanied the team to yesterday’s press conference. Other leaders expected in today’s rally include Simon Ogari (kisii), Gov Josephat Nanok, Aldas MP Aden Keynan among others.
