Ababu Namwamba meets Raila ahead of ODM Parliamentary Group Meeting

July 22, 2014

Budalangi MP Ababu Namwamba yesterday late evening met ODM party leader Raila Odinga in what is seen as a bid to diffuse fears that he is on his way out of the Orange Party.

Hon. Namwamba, a key pillar in CORD’s politics and high ranking legislator has in the recent past come under criticism over his lukewarm presence in CORD with allegations that he is holding brief for Deputy President William Ruto.

Also being accused to be in the Ruto axis is ODM Executive Director Mr. Magerer Langat. Mr. Langat is a former MP for Kipkelion constituency.

After the meeting, Hon Namwamba made the following update on his Facebook wall:

The Field Marshal has comprehensively debriefed and duly instructed his General this evening. After attending to other duties, Jenerali is back on the battlefront…now bring on battle REFERENDUM!

Youthful party faithfuls who had stood with Hon. Namwamba had in the past weeks complained openly to him that he is not living to the expectation of being a ‘General’.

Ababu boycotted most of the national dialogue meetings including the final saba saba rally at Uhuru Park.

It is important to note also that 70% of Budalangi voters are Railaholics.
