Is Uhuru regime using propagandists to intimidate opposition bloggers and Supporters online?

July 16, 2014

There are these government types snooping over your Facebook timeline uninvited, intrusive, myopic but calculating, picking every post that fits into their self-created understanding of hate speech or incitement, tagging every law enforcer from President, IG, NCIC, DCI etc, hoping that we exit prematurely and let them run rough-sold over this important discourse on criminalising free speech.

There is hate speech, but there are also ‘hate acts’ – actions which provide the environment for hate speech. Truth is Raila Odinga Vs IEBC & Others did not end at the supreme court. Probably, it will inform the rest of our lives, especially those on this side. To these government types, it would have been easy to block you and let you remain in your feel good ‘we are intimidating them’ dishwater but that will be giving you a comfort you don’t deserve and has never worked for.

Government must get out of Facebook and twitter and go out there to protect Kenyans. That’s the short of it. The rest will be sorted out at the Judiciary and above all at that HIGHEST COURT OF ANY CIVILIZATION: the court of PUBLIC OPINION. Of course, I am innocent and Raila Odinga remains my HERO!
