Director of Public Prosecution Keriako Tobiko and his officers are on the spot over application of double standards on alleged hate speech by top politicians.
On one hand the DPP signed in person, his directions ordering ‘urgent investigations’ on hate comments alleged on the Lord Mayor George Aladwa. For Kiambu Governor Kabogo, the DPP is nowhere to be seen. The issue has no ‘red mark’ of URGENCY or the sections of Kabogo’s comments deemed as hate filled.
The allegations on Governor Kabogo was left for Communications Department in DPP’s office to deal with and not the CID and other special crime prevention units as was the case for the Lord Mayor of Nairobi George Aladwa.
If the justice system puts ‘red marks’ in some cases and not in others, we can still fail as a country and divide further our county.
Is the office of DPP independent? are Statehouse operatives using DPP to frustrate some politicians?
It is obvious, some animals are more important than others in this farm called Kenya.
