The hunt for Jubilee strongman and alleged rapist cum gynaecologist impersonator Mugo wa Wairimu who is alleged to sedate and rape his patients in Nairobiâ€™s Githurai area has gained momentum with feminists joining the fray.
Diana Okello a top feminists is leading the pack, she has expressed her frustration so far with the slow action by the police. Top feminists are set to meet at freedom corner and thereafter match to police headquarters along harambee avenue to register their anger.
Director of Public Prosecutions Keriako Tobiko wrote to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations asking for speedy investigations.
Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet also ordered his officers to find Mugo and take him to court on various charges without delay.
The police boss joined the women rights activists in appealing to Mugo’s victims or anyone else with information to present it to the Kasarani police station for action.
Diana Okellow has also registered dispointment with women politicians who have not come out strongly to condemn Mugo wa Wairimu, she singled out Nairobi Women Rep Rachel Shebesh for her silence considering most of Mugo’s victims are Nairobi residents.
