A Ugandan teen who meted instant justice to a rapist father received probably the most lenient judgement for murder when a judge jailed her for six hours. The hacked her rapist father to death using a knife and a panga.
The horrible father had raped her two other sisters. Sadly, she was six months pregnant with his child. While the prosecution had argued that she should be condemned to death – the maximum penalty for murder – her defense attorneys argued successfully for a lenient judgement as the rapist in question was, incomprehensibly, the father.
“. . .she was sleeping in the house, she did not know that her mother, 56, had gone out; her father learnt that his wife was not in the house and came into her bed and raped her. Since they were living in a one-room rented house, the father took advantage of his own children,†Mr Kikirengoma said, the girl’s lead defense attorney and children rights lawyer.
