Nairobi Police bosses are on the spot after they attempted to collaborate with City lawyer Waweru Gatonye to evict a poor widow from her Upper Hill House.
Kilimani OCPD Peter Kattam, Lawyer Waweru Gatonye and Zackary Baraza of Siuma auctioneers led an alleged illegal forceful eviction but their efforts were thwarted by Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko who managed to reveal that a court order in possession by the Kilmani Police boss was illegal as the grabbers mislead the court with false information without giving the widow a chance to give her side of the story.
The poor Widow Judith Wanjiru Njenga has been living in her Upper Hill house since 1974. Senator Sonko hurriedly rushed back to the same court with her and the Court turned its earlier decision and barred the auctioneers from evicting her since the dispute over the ownership of the house is still in Court. However the OCPD and the greedy auctioneers have refused to allow the Widow back to her house after they allegedly received bribes amounting to millions of shillings from private developers who have unlawfully bought the widows property from Gatonye and who is behind the eviction of the Widow.
According to sources Baraza of Siuma auctioneers is working in cahoots with the land grabbers to take over the Widow’s prime property. Baraza is a wealthy individual with his kids studying at the prestigious Turi School in Molo where school fees per child goes up to Shs 1 million annually.
