What was President Uhuru thinking while appointing Chief Executive Officer of Royal Media Services Mr Waruru Wachira, Chief Operating Officer Farida Karoney and Radio Africa (Kiss 100) Caroline Mutoko to the board of Kenya Broadcasting Corporation?
KBC is in the deadwoods owing to dominance of the market by Citizen TV and network of national and regional (vernacular) Radio stations. Kiss 100 FM and Classic 105 FM both owned by Radio Africa- employer of Caroline Mutoko are the biggest radio urban stations.
Does the President believe that Wachira Waruru, Farida Karoney and Caroline Mutoko will steer KBC into greater heights to compete with Citizen? Waht exactly was Uhuru thinking?
Hopefully the president will reshuffle the appointments if indeed he means well for KBC, a state run media company.
