New BREAKING NEWS Service 20188 to SHAKE the Media Industry, NTV, STANDARD, citizen FORCED to innovate

February 4, 2015

A new player has joined the media industry to revolutionize the breaking news segment.

Press Room News enterprise is an ambitious project aimed at edging out leading media houses from the BREAKING NEWS segment. The new initiative is aimed at giving Kenyans cheaper and affordable breaking news services to their subscribers.

According to sources from the new Media group the news alert service will change the way news is being presented to Kenyans by the mainstream media houses. “This new alert service complete with a dedicated news website will ensure Kenyans get accurate and timely news. All you need to do is send the word NEWS to SMS number 20188 and get instant news alerts.” said one of the brains behind the initiative.

The breaking news service charges subscribers only Kshs 6.00 per SMS alert. The current players in the breaking news segment charge exorbitant Kshs.10 per txt. The new service is 40% cheaper and will most likely force other players to reduce price.
